Established in 1929, serving the community with compassion and excellence for over 94 years.
Kumi Hospital was established in 1929 by the Church Missionary Society (CMS) as a leprosy center to help people with leprosy in the eastern and northern regions of Uganda and South Sudan.
Today, KH has a reach of approximately 4 million people. We are a member of the Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau (UPMB) and a private non-profit (PNFP) institution, accredited by the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Since its foundation, Kumi Hospital has undergone a transformation from a center for the disabled to a general hospital, significantly expanding its activities and adapting its working methods to serve the comprehensive health care needs of the community.
